our story
I discovered my passion for photography in 2018 after borrowing my mom’s camera at a track meet and photographing my friends. What started as a fun afternoon quickly turned into a lifelong passion, and before long, So Shook Photography was born.
Soon afterward, I was hired by a sports photography company, where I managed my own photoshoots, gained invaluable hands-on experience, and continued refining my craft. In 2019, I photographed my first Dogo Argentino Club of America National Dog Show, opening the door to canine photography. By January 2020, one of my images was featured in the American Kennel Club’s official breed press release, and my work has since been published by outlets including MSNBC, Fox, and several magazines and local newspapers throughout Texas.
I then stepped away from photography to proudly serve 6½ years in the U.S. Air Force. During that time, I traveled, met incredible people, and gained experiences that continue to shape how I connect with others. Now, as a proud U.S. Air Force veteran based in Phoenix, Arizona, I’m thrilled to be back behind the camera, doing what I love most.
Today, we specialize in capturing authentic moments, from concerts and sporting events to families, pets, and life’s biggest milestones. My goal is simple: to create a relaxed, enjoyable experience while preserving genuine memories you’ll look back on for years to come. Every person, event, and story is unique, and it’s an honor to help tell yours.
I love creating images that tell a compelling story and capturing the raw, genuine emotions of everyone in frame. Life is short and truly amazing, so having the opportunity to preserve these special moments through photography is an incredible and rewarding experience.

Here at So Shook Photography, we are a close-knit family business, and I have the great pleasure of working alongside my amazing Mom, Amanda Shook. She has truly become an integral part of So Shook Photography by not only supporting the business but also leading her own photoshoots and capturing beautiful, heartfelt images that will always remain timeless and cherished.
I love doing sports photography because of my deep passion for youth sports and the energy they bring. Capturing the genuine smiles and the priceless reactions from parents when they see the photos truly inspires me. That wow factor is unforgettable. Now that my own kids are older, photography allows me to take an active and meaningful role in preserving these special moments creating memories that families can cherish for a lifetime.
