about
Our story
I began exploring photography back in 2018 when I borrowed my mom’s camera at a track meet and started taking pictures of my friends and their various events. It was incredibly fun experimenting with the camera, and I quickly realized, “I could do this forever.” Shortly after that realization, SO Shook Photography was born. Not long after, I was hired by a sports photography company where I managed my own photoshoots, gaining valuable hands-on experience and sharpening my skills. In 2019, I had the opportunity to photograph my first Dogo Argentino Club of America National Dog Show, which introduced me to capturing some truly stunning dogs. By January 2020, one of my photos was published in the American Kennel Club’s official breed press release. Soon after, I took a three-year hiatus to begin my journey in the U.S. Air Force. I have greatly enjoyed my time serving and remain on active duty in Louisiana, having traveled extensively during this period. I love traveling and documenting memories of my experiences, and my goal is to create fun, safe, and beautiful memories with everyone I have the privilege to photograph.
I love creating images that tell a compelling story and capturing the raw, genuine emotions of everyone in frame. Life is short and truly amazing, so having the opportunity to preserve these special moments through photography is an incredible and rewarding experience.

Here at So Shook Photography, we are a close-knit family business, and I have the great pleasure of working alongside my amazing Mom, Amanda Shook. She has truly become an integral part of So Shook Photography by not only supporting the business but also leading her own photoshoots and capturing beautiful, heartfelt images that will always remain timeless and cherished.
I love doing sports photography because of my deep passion for youth sports and the energy they bring. Capturing the genuine smiles and the priceless reactions from parents when they see the photos truly inspires me. That wow factor is unforgettable. Now that my own kids are older, photography allows me to take an active and meaningful role in preserving these special moments creating memories that families can cherish for a lifetime.
